Before And Afters

I discovered my "talent" in making and designing t-shirts last summer of 2012. I dyed some plain white shirt that I learned from school when I was in elementary, never thought I could still use my skills in dying shirts (thanks to my teacher).

So far here are the shirts that I did.

BEFORE

AFTER

I also tried not to use shirts but shorts,

shoes!,

(I just helped my friends here :) Pearl's shoes! )

and accessories.. (I'll buy bracelets then I'm gonna wreck it and make another one- pinapahirapan ko talaga sarili ko. haha!)

'Til my next post. 😄 😘

Summer Playlist

Last summer, I search some good music because I'm tired of listening to same old music that I used to love, and I found some that I never thought I would enjoy listening to. It's a breath of fresh air. Indie Pop/ Indie Rock/ Folk Rock bands, when I was a child I'm into Pop, Rock, R&B, Country and Alternative genre. Fun, Imagine Dragons and Mumford & Sons- I can't stop listening to their song, even on the shower or on a road trip. I love their songs. I recommend their albums, Fun's Some Nights, Imagine Dragons' Night Vision and Mumford & Sons' Babel. I'm currently listening to Fun's and Mumford & Sons' first albums- Aim And Ignite and Sigh No More.  (I Love Nate Ruess!)

And here are my Top 3 favorite songs (and some covers) from their albums:

Some Nights

Carry On

Out On The Town

Imagine Dragons

Demons

It's Time

On Top Of The World

Mumford & Sons

I Will Wait

Not With Haste

Ghosts That We Knew

It's really hard to pick my Top 3 on each album. Hope you'll enjoy listening to them also :)

Yas Waterworld, Yas Island

Yas Island is located in Abu Dhabi. The Famous Ferrari World, Yas Marina Circuit, Du Forum and Du Arena, Yas Water World and many hotels can be found there.

We are given the chance to choose- Ferrari World or Yas Water World. The fastest Roller Coaster in the world can be found in Ferrari World- I love amusement parks! I really like going on an adventure and riding on roller coasters, but this time, my parents didn't let me do that, so we decided to try the 43 rides, slides and attractions in Yas Water World which is beside the Ferrari World!

Before going to Yas Water World, we watched some videos about their different attractions here.

Unfortunately, we can't stand the heat and our feet were aching because we need to climb up the stairs many times, we only ride their famous attraction, Dawamma (the fastest and biggest tornado ride with hydro-magnetic power), Falcon's Falaj (the biggest water coaster measuring 300 meters long), Sebag, our all time favorite Water Wars (we enjoyed this "ride" many times! that's where we got our tan lines :( ) and Yehal- which is for young at heart.

For my Outfit/Swimming Attire:
I'm wearing my customized shirt! Isolation it is :) (I waited many months just to use this shirt :D FYI, whenever I'm bored Kate and I would make and cut some shirts out. We are also planning to sell some in the future. Isolation!)

PHOTO DIARY:

This is the end of my Abu Dhabi trip and I'm happy to say that wherever I go One Direction's Live While We're Young, One Thing and What Makes you Beautiful are always playing in the Mall and of course in Yas Waterworld- kulang na lang gumawa ako ng music video while riding in Water Wars.

Dubai

We went to Dubai last May 8 for a day. Dubai is a 1 hour ride from Abu Dhabi, yes! It is not that far and if you do not know, Abu Dhabi and Dubai are two different emirates. The country itself is the UAE (United Arab Emirates) and it is composed of 7 emirates.

On my previous post, I already told you that my vacation was a blast and my day in Dubai was amazing and spectacular!

PHOTO DIARY:

We visited the Burj Al Arab but we didn't get the chance to enter the said hotel because as we all know, it's too expensive. We also got to see the Jumeira Hotel and the public beach beside it.

Burj Al Arab: the world's only 7-Star hotel

And then  we went to Atlantis, The Palm and we made a coin/penny souvenir.

Atlantis, The Palm: first resort to be built on the Palm Jumeirah

Then we went to the mall, specifically Dubai Mall. My mom wanted to go to the Emirates Mall but I preferred the Dubai Mall so I can experience what my cousin's told me, "hindi mo malilibot ang Dubai Mall ng isang araw, mapapagod ka" and then boom! We didn't got the chance to roam around the mall :) And the highlight of our trip is too see the Tallest Building in the World the Burj Khalifa and the spectacular Dancing Fountain of Dubai. My cousin almost sat on the floor just to capture the whole building. We waited for the dancing fountain for an hour, and it's worth the wait 'coz the dancing fountain is so entertaining. We also waited for the second viewing and there goes "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. Speechless!

Summer Vacation 2013

It's summer time! We only had a very short time to enjoy our vacation because of my internship. This year, my mom and dad decided to have our vacation in Abu Dhabi, UAE. My parents work there. Rans and I had been there once, last 2005 for 2 months! Andrei was born in Abu Dhabi but this was his first time to really experience the hot weather in the Middle East. Because of my sched, we only stayed there for almost 1 month, but that 1 month was a blast and I can't even explain how happy I am to be with my parents for a month and in another country. (We are not allowed to wear shorts even though the weather is too hot, its their rule and we need to obey it.)

The weather was too hot as I said! Good thing was we have centralized AC, so when it's hot, we just have to open it and the whole flat will be as cold as an ice! haha. Bad thing was the weather gets hotter and hotter :( and I'm really thankful with the AC, maybe we should have that here in the Philippines- it's too hot!

First Day! at Abu Dhabi Mall

We got to play Bowling at Marina Mall and eat Filipino dishes outside the playing area. :D

Sheikh Zhayed Grand Mosque. It was an unforgettable experience. It's like 20-30 mins ride from our home, and we walked 10km (exaggerated! because it was so hot and we had to walk- from the back of the mosque to the front so we can enter. We also got the chance to walk on the sand! yipee), we are all exhausted but it was all worth it.

CORNICHE PARK! Last 2005, you can only swim beside the park as I remember. Now they have a public and private beach in the park! some parts are not finish yet and I hope I can comeback when it is all ready done. :) We got the chance to swim at the private beach because they have a "cottage"- we can't stand the heat on the public beach!. The people are only allowed to swim before the sun set, it was around 5-6 pm if I'm not mistaken.

The beach at night! Marina Mall, The Emirates Palace Hotel and the skyscrapers of Abu Dhabi.

More Photos here.

One blog post isn't enough! gonna blog my Dubai and Yas Water World Experience too!
